OK. It has been a week since I wrote anything here. I am including this picture because I feel like I am stepping from the smooth parking lot with its delineated parking spaces-- nice neat rows-- into the chaos of "beach".
Sand shifts with the wind, the rain, and other foot prints. Rosa adores the beach. So much to see and smell. Always different, always new. Actually the one constant on our stretch of Lake Michigan beach is that it is always different. Twitter, Blog, Facebook, Flickr-- sand, wind, footprints. Hmmm. I may not savor change and new smells like Rosa does.
Rosa is our first dog companion. We brought her home from a vacation in Mexico. She was very sick with 2 types of mange, bit up, and since her hair had fallen out, sunburned. It was a 'come home with us or die' situation. Easy decision-- not as easy to get her home. Long story--the details are not important but I did pray all the way back home that she would survive her trip with no further harm. She did and.. our life has never been the same. It was as if our lives and hers were totally meant to be lived together-- even the cats finally think so.
So, what is the take away from this entry? You never know-- if you step on a beach, start a new project, or go for a relaxing vacation-- what may happen. Maybe someday all this new stuff will seem like home-- just like our dog Rosa feels like home to me now.
